Hello bloggers, I am still here!
For Ken's birthday I surprised him with a helicopter tour of San Francisco. I wanted to give him a gift that would give us a whole day to spend together; so I knew it had to be an activity. My co-worker mentioned that she knew some friends who went on a helicopter tour.....*ding*.....let the planning begin! I spent a lot of time researching for a good, safe company (aka I was a little nervous). So after much research I found the perfect company.
Ken knew I had something planned in San Francisco, but didn't know exactly what it was. The morning of, we got breakfast and he asked "what are we doing in SF?" and I answered, "...Well, we are doing a tour of San Francisco.....IN A HELICOPTER!" It was so funny because when I said 'tour of San Francisco' Ken is so great that he got super excited, like we were just going to take walk around the city. Then when I said 'in a helicopter' he was like "WHAT! That's AWESOME!" and his excitement went to level 10.
The shuttle picked us up from Pier 39 and took us to the SF airport. We got to go in the private entrance where all the private planes are. Super cool. As we were pulling up they started up the helicopter then got walked right into it.
There are lots of pictures below...*warning*
Just as we are taking off
It was a super fun day and even better to spend an entire day with Ken in the city. So glad I picked this as his gift. He had such a great time.

The best part of the entire trip was that our helicopter tour guide flew us UNDER the Golden Gate Bridge. It was so fun. It felt like a roller coaster drop. We went from flying way above the bridge, to underneath it in like seconds. I actually think I started to sweat a little (the tightly confined area & warm sun wasn't helping so much).
Here is a video of us flying under the bridge. Please ignore me screaming...I wasn't lying when I said we dropped in a few seconds.
Such a great day!
